The Secured Transactions Act No.49 of 2009 (ST Act) has been enacted to establish an effective legal and institutional framework in Sri Lanka and to facilitate the lending secured on movables and intangible collaterals.
Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka (CRIB) maintains the Secured Transactions Register as empowered by the ST Act.
Secured Transactions Registry System (StRS) is a Online portal which facilitates registration of security interests on moveable assets and notice of interest of a judgment creditor.
Following functions can be performed through this electronic database.
Filing of Initial Notice of Registration (INR) of security interest and perform functions over INR such as amendments, renewal or termination etc as prescribed in the Act.
Search for prior security interests on moveable assets.
In order to perform functions as prescribed in the Act, you should be a registered user from a member lending institution of CRIB.
